Weave Palm Leave

Locally known as water coconut leaves, nipa palm leaves are carefully selected and cut from branches, gathering all the leaves. We then use handmade cord to weave them into sets, similar to the picture shown. This woven material is traditionally used to create roofs for houses, lasting about four years before needing replacement. For generations, locals have built homes with these leaves to stay cool during the hot season while keeping costs low.

Every visitor will have the opportunity to cut the leaves and learn how to weave them. Kids particularly enjoy this activity! During your stay, you may also have the chance to try the fruits of the nipa palm. Join us for this unique experience!
